I just found you, I have a nine year old rescue boxer who'd never left the house, and was abandoned by her owner who went on holiday and just left her as well as her Frenchie brother who we adopted too, and we had him just short of 2 years before he died quite suddenly in September. For me I know I was upset about my previous dogs passing but there was a certain amount of awareness it was coming. Especially with my two that had DM. But with Betsey, I had no clue. So shattered is a perfect way to describe it.
