We're kitty hunting….
After a nice long morning walkie, Management went back into her yard to discover the neighbors cat prancing freely along the fence line. This would absolutely not stand. She spent the next ten minutes in the cold patrolling and making it vocally clear that cats were not allowed.
I love how smitten dogs seem with themselves when they bark something away. Management acts like she's Gerard Butler in Olympus Has Fallen. With this proud, pouty face and saunter.
We are officially off Facebook and Instagram. Though it takes thirty days to make it permanent. I already feel like I'm more present and spending less time scrolling daily on my phone. After a whole bunch of health stuff, I just felt like I needed to prioritize what is really important. I'm happy to report a clean bill of health. And look forward to getting back on track with regular exercising and eating better. Management has already made it abundantly clear that morning walkies are non negotiable. She reminds me so much of my Mookie girl, who would force me to move past my grieving Buckner's passing and roll my pregnant butt off the couch.
So even though we're off social media, you can always contact me here or via the shop: www.5149andahalfart.com
I've added another custom option to the shop. Look for these options to expand in a few months when the commission list opens a bit more.
Wood Block paintings (stand 5in x 5in) are now alongside the soft pastel (chalk) customs. I'm loving the details and texture coming through on the soft pastels.
There is Valentine's merch in the shop ready to ship immediately, including new dragons, love Pitties, love Boxers and last of the Frog Prince figures w/love cage. The custom Valentine's Day card orders all shipped out and sounds like only one hasn't made it to it's forever home yet (fingers crossed for that dog lover waiting for USPS).
I'm currently working on a new illustrated boxer dog project and hope to be sharing some sneak perks here soon. Otherwise, you can expect to find no politics here. Just the positive and uplifting meanderings of a lady who loves dogs, her kid, chocolate banana milkshakes and a few other random things (and people).
Sweet Betsey. With ours it's the crows! And boy do the crows like to tease them :)
